Newquay has been a major tourist destination for more than a century, renowned for its vibrant surfing scene and is home to some of the best beaches in Europe, all within four miles of the town centre, most in easy walking distance. They vary from small secluded coves, through family beaches with all amenities and backed by sheer cliffs, to endless, wide expanses of golden sand.
Surfing isn't the only game in town. There is rowing, canoeing, hiking, coasteering, and many other fun sports. A great indoor pool welcomes swimmers all year round. Many campsites near the town and along the coast offer sports and entertainment.
Newquay is a great place to go as the nightlife is great, and it is very easy to make new friends.
There are bars and night clubs for everyone who likes to party in town.
It will take at least one day to check out the local surf shops for all the boards, wetsuits and sun protective swimwear. Find all the exciting new gear in shops, boutiques and the local supermarkets along the main high street.
